Hi! My name is Dwayne Hodgson.
As a learning designer and facilitator, I create processes that bring people and ideas together to learn and get things done.
This website profiles how I:
- design dynamic workshops, training programs, learning forums, and conferences that enhance learning;
- evaluate in-person and online training programs and suggest how to make them more engaging, effective and enduring;
- facilitate productive planning, brainstorming, visioning and decision making meetings to keep everyone on topic, on task and on time;
- create online learning experiences that encourage dialogue and collaborative learning.
My toolbox includes a range of methods: Dialogue Education, Outcome Mapping, Results-Based Management, Theory of Change, and other participatory facilitation techniques like World Cafe, and Social Weaver (SAS2). And I also enjoy creating dynamic visuals that help learners engage with ideas and each other in new ways (for example, a Prezi of my CV....)
I write a blog on "what I'm learning" about learning design, facilitation, program planning and other topics (bikes!) through my work, play and time with my family. I've also posted some articles & podcasts, design templates and other resources to get you started.
